Direct Marketing Association Announces Education Marketing Council
New York, NY, September 1, 2010 — The Direct Marketing Association (
An affiliate of DMA, EMC is a nonprofit, information-sharing partnership dedicated to providing insightful and actionable resources that help members market their institutions more effectively, while adhering to an established code of ethical standards.
“Access to higher education is critical to the future success of the American economy as it demands a more educated workforce,” said Steve Isaac, Chairman of the Education Marketing Council and Chief Executive Officer of EducationDynamics. “The Education Marketing Council was created to identify and advocate marketing practices in post-secondary education that are in the best interest of students and the institutions that serve them.”

To implement its mission, EMC has established a series of goals to serve post-secondary education in benchmarking its best practices in marketing. EMC will also provide a code of best practices; guidelines for effective advocacy; research; an online forum; as well as a resource directory for schools seeking service providers. EMC acts through five working committees: the Marketing Committee; Organizing Committee; Membership Committee; Best Practice Committee; and the Education Committee, all overseen by its Board of Directors.
Membership to the Education Marketing Council is open. All employees associated with accredited and/or state licensed post-secondary schools, as well as individuals associated with organizations that provide marketing support to those schools, are invited to join.
