United Kingdon Tops International List Of 2002 ECHO Award Winners
14 Countries Join the USA in Receiving the Direct & Interactive Marketing Industry’s Highest Honor
SAN FRANCISCO – Proving that direct and interactive marketing success has no borders, the United Kingdom topped the list of countries with direct and interactive marketing agencies taking home the most Direct Marketing Association (DMA) International ECHO Awards, the highest honor in direct marketing.
From a total of 83 Gold, Silver and Bronze ECHO Awards, 45 awards were presented to 14 countries other than the United States. Winners of the direct and interactive marketing awards were drawn from a field of 1,113 entries, 503 of which were international. Campaigns were evaluated on response results, marketing strategy and creative components.
This year’s Diamond ECHO Award, the top direct-response advertising campaign among all entries, went to the Spanish direct response agency CP Interactive (Madrid, Spain) and its client Amnistia Internacional for its multimedia/integrated direct marketing campaign.
