DMANF Honors LW Robbins President Lynn Edmonds with 2013 Max L. Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award
New York, NY, January 15, 2013 — The Nonprofit Federation of the Direct Marketing Association (DMANF) is pleased to announce the selection of Lynn Edmonds, president of LW Robbins, as its 2013 Max L. Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award recipient. The honor will be presented at a gala awards luncheon on February 7, during the 2013 Washington Nonprofit Conference, which will take place February 7-8 at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel.
DMANF is also pleased to announce that Katya Andresen, COO/CSO of Network for Good, will be the new keynote speaker for the conference. Andresen is the author of “Robin Hood Marketing,” as well as a blogger, public speaker, and adjunct professor of communications at American University.
The Max L. Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award
The Max L. Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award, presented annually at the Washington Nonprofit Conference, recognizes career accomplishments by an exceptional fundraising professional with a track record of service, leadership, innovation, and integrity.
Edmonds joined LW Robbins in 1999 as executive vice president, becoming president of the company in 2001. Under her leadership, LW Robbins has provided results-driven direct response fundraising counsel and services to more than 50 nonprofit organizations.
Over the course of her career, Edmonds and her teams have worked with organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, American Health Assistance Foundation (Alzheimer’s Disease Research, Macular Degeneration Research, and National Glaucoma Research), St. Labre Indian School, MAP International, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Coast Guard Foundation, American Diabetes Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Catholic Relief Services, Consumers Union, Covenant House, National Audubon Society, and more than 40 regional food banks.
“Lynn has dedicated over 30 years of her career to guiding nonprofit organizations to the cutting edge of efficiency and effectiveness for their fundraising efforts,” said Beth Smith, educational director of DMA’s Direct Marketing Institute. “Her methods are based in analytics, but her approach is all heart. She cares, she understands, and she acts to guide her clients and the industry to even greater levels of impact, engagement and results.”
